Master artisans harvest, dry, and assemble sustainable sabai grass into strips which are skillfully hand braided and woven into beautiful, durable pieces. This sustainable, eco friendly design honors the spirit of resourcefulness found within artisan communities.
This basket is made by Matr Boomie who partners with over 1,500 artisans in marginalized communities throughout India to create economic and sustainable living opportunities. They invest in vocational training, literacy programs and provide fair wage opportunities to empower women artisans to reach their full potential and become entrepreneurs.
